Spine's core social functionality aspects are based on the award-winning Elgg open source social networking engine. Elgg powers thousands of networks worldwide, including for many leading governments, universities and businesses. Through our Curverider subsidiary, we are the founding company behind the Elgg open source project and remain the main sponsor of - and key contributor to - the on-going development of Elgg.
