Our Spine platform builds on a core socially-enabled infrastructure, upon which our proprietary commercial tools and technical extensions can be tailored and 'plugged in' to generate specific business applications.
Our methodology has the benefit of being modular and customisable, so that new components can be developed, added and configured to address specific business applications.
In addition, our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) infrastructure makes deployment of specific applications of Spine both repeatable and cost-effective.
Spine has been engineered to be collaborative , placing social and peer-to-peer interaction as a primary architectural priority. It can handle any type of web-based or file-based content and instantly render it collaborative and marketable by wrapping it in a "social commerce" layer that implements core capabilities such as:
- Identity management
- Social communication and sharing
- Entitlement management
- Contract management
- Merchant services
SOCIAL AT THE CORE
Spine's core social functionality aspects are based on the award-winning Elgg open source social networking engine. Elgg powers thousands of networks worldwide, including for many leading governments, universities and businesses. Through our Curverider subsidiary, we are the founding company behind the Elgg open source project and remain the main sponsor of - and key contributor to - the on-going development of Elgg.
